Norweigan Wood
A young man in 1960's Japan reflects on his college years, mental health and love. I think Marukami has an interesting way of writing, he manages to cover everyday life in a static way, even while the main character goes through emotional distress. The main love interest Naoko, and her life was just as interesting to read about. I usually dislike anything even hinting at romance, but this read was truly touching, yet heartbreaking.
